Testimony of Allan Palanca
“…the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:16
I am Brother Allan Palanca from the Locale Church of Bagtas Cavite. I am the Commanding Officer and the Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) in the Philippine Navy. I graduated with Naval Officer Qualification Course, Naval Command and Staff Course and Command at Sea Course. As of now, I have been working for twelve years in Navy.
The 12th anniversary of BRP Antonio Luna PG141 Warship in Sangly Point Cavite City was held last May 26, 2011 and I am the present Commanding Officer of the Ship. It was four years then the ship was stocked due to derangement of Main Engine. And so, I invited Bishop Arturo Ferriol, Bethel Area Coordinator, to pray for the ship because I believe that the prayer of the sent ones is tested and effective. Thus, Bishop Art did not hesitate to pray and did not afford to miss the chance to share the gospel to my co-workers.
They were astonished in the words of God that they heard. In fact, one of my co-workers said that the words of God he heard linger in his mind. For this reason, I invited them to watch Oras ng Katotohanan. Now and then, they are avidly watching the television broadcast of Oras Ng Katotohanan.
After 9 days, we tested the ship and by the grace of God, through the prayer of Bishop Art, the ship began to move. And its speed amazingly turns twice faster. Now, the PG141 has its regular training in preparation for its sea operation.
This happening became a living testimony to the military officers that the answers of God are in those who trust Him. Now, I am privileged to manage two ships. And I believe that all of these enormous blessings are given to me by God. (B. Sico)
