In spite of the non-stop rain that hit Laguna and the rest of Luzon, Biñan City, Laguna locale celebrated its Church Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service last September 22, 2013. What made it a big success was the huge number of brethren and their visitors that gathered in the church (where the street was almost flooded). Beyond the pastors’ and brethren’s expectation, they reached more than 300 attendance.
The memorable event was graced by no less than the Coordinator of Peniel Region, Bishop Domingo Ferriol. The Guest Speaker gave emphasis on the importance of praising the Lord fervently. He also stressed the importance of abundant giving for God’s work.
Aside from the powerful preaching of God’s Word, which was the highlight of the celebration, the event was also highlighted by a Song Interpretation Contest of the different Flock Group (Kawan). Eight Kawan vied for the Best Presentation and Best Fanfare. Excitement filled the place as the Kawan members showed their moves in the tune of a common piece, “Lord of the Dance”.
I personally witnessed how the brethren and even the visitors ignored the heavy rain. Undaunted, they kept on celebrating the event until it was done. (P.Dela Cruz)
Praise the Lord!
