What a blessing it is to start the 2nd day of the International Convention through keen prayers and communions for the Church. Pastor Joseph Concepcion discussed about the qualities of obedience that lead to answered prayers. Afterwards, the complex filled with hearts full of devotion and humility as all knelt down to pray.
After a short break, the delegates filled the complex with anticipation to hear the Word during the 1st seminar, where Pastor Jhun Marbida headed the service with the subject, “Love and Obedience.” He taught on how obedience go hand in hand with love and one cannot continually obey the teachings of God through the ministry of the apostle without having love for the mission first.
The Goodman of the House does not only teach in words, but is an exemplar to the obedience to the teachings of God. He urged that the Church should always put into practice the teachings of the sent ones of God during the 2nd seminar.
This year’s theme was even more deliberately discussed by Bishop Rustico Zonio during the 3rd seminar which was about obedience amidst sufferings. He stated that though obedience comes with a heavy load of responsibility, God is always faithful to help those who follow Him. Those who obey God, he voiced out, will always experience trials in the ministry, but God will enable His Church to surpass these.
For the 4th seminar of the day, Pastor Reynald Sulayao expounded on the topic, “Blessings of Obedience”, where he instructed on how blessings come eventually if people will follow God’s commands through the leadership of His sent ones.
At the worship service during the Missionary Night, the beloved Evangelist, Pastor Leticia Ferriol wonderfully delivered the message of God with the topic, “The Mission Commissioned to the End-time Church (Understanding the Entrusted Mission to the Missionary Church).”
“We shall be ready,” she said.
The Evangelist calls out to the delegates for the challenge of being ready and prepared for the mission of Christ which is continuous and as she expressed thoroughly, there is no greater way of preparing other than partaking in the mission of God which is to evangelize the souls that are still in need of a savior.
As she asked the crowd, “If the mission of Christ is continuous, who will carry out the mission?” several of the brethren rushed to the stage, each with a heart containing a prayer of dedication to partake in the mission.
The Apostle prays for the congregation for God to mark this day as a day of dedication for those who prayed to be part of the mission. Another day concludes but the Spirit of the Lord continually dwells in the International Convention.
