Difficulties of all kinds tried to impede the Lord’s gathering - from the insufficient allotted time of preparation, the struggle to bring visitors and the incessant outpouring of rain on that day. In spite of what seemed to be enough reason of discouragement, the members of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ 4th Watch, pressed on toward the goal of pursuing the scheduled Zion Area Fellowship at Marikina Sports Complex last July 5, 2015.
The program began with the singing of heavenly songs led by Sis. Margie Dianito, accompanied by the various artist of the church’s own album “Be My Sanctuary”. Ptr. Rey Yton, the Head Pastor of Marikina Local, ministered the word of God during the Sunday school. The Marikina Praise and Worship Team led the congregation in singing, signaling the beginning of worship proper. Ptr. Charlie Magbata entrusted the gathering unto God through the Opening Prayer. Songs of adoration rendered by Jireh Chorale, Marikina Youth String Ensemble, Marikina Symphony of Praise and Highest Praise Chorale has set a worship-conducive ambience in the venue. “Giving is an act of worship. When we give for the Lord, we are worshipping Him according to His word. There should be liberal giving in the true church in order to meet the needs of the fast-growing mission” was the strong exhortation of Ptr. Rey Yton as he delivered the Offertory Message.
The Bible inspiringly tells us that blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates in it day and night for he is likened to a tree planted by the streams of water that yields its fruit in season. The word of God ministered by a veteran preacher and one of the bishops of the church, Bishop Osie Quillao, fortified the faith of each attendee. “We are blessed because we belong to the true church with sound and authentic doctrine; a church with a great commission”.
