UAE gathers for Missionary Day and Apostolic Fellowship

The locale churches in the United Arab Emirates recently joined the whole community of the PMCC (4th Watch) around the globe in celebration of the 2015 International Missionary Day.  Last January 30, 2015 was observed as the UAE Missionary Day – Apostolic Fellowship which gathered the 3 newly added local churches of Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain along with the other pioneer locals of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Hundreds of brethren coming from these 6 local churches joined the feast of God’s Word at Asian Palace Restaurant, in the heart of the Emirate of Ajman.

Right after the entrance of the partakers, the Dubai Praise and Worship team led the Church to a joyful and spirit-filled singing of songs of praise. After a video recap of the recently concluded 2015 International Missionary Day in the Philippines, Dubai Locale-Head, Pastor Elleza Palanca graciously welcomed the congregation to the service.  In her greetings, she expressed her gratitude to the Lord for calling the church into a noble task of bringing people to Christ. Pastor Elleza also delivered the message of blessing highlighting everyone’s part in propagating and supporting the mission of Christ.

Songs and renditions of praise were raised up to the heavens coming from the local churches of Ajman, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. God has once again spoken, empowered, and renewed the spirits of His children through the Middle East District Coordinator, the beloved Bishop Aldrin Palanca.   Bishop Aldrin asserted that having an apostolic fellowship is a distinguishing mark of a true Christian, and such partnership with the Apostle makes a Christian’s joy complete. He also conveyed the message of communing with the apostle’s mission through 3 important points: (1) by giving our partnership to the mission we receive (1Cor 1:9), (2) by following his example (1Cor 11:1-2), (3) by possessing the same mission as the apostle’s (2 Cor 10:15-16). Everyone has been truly challenged to grow far more not only in numbers of converts, but also in the quality of their faith. Truly, it will not take long before the Word of God covers the whole world, and so as our Lord Jesus Christ’s second coming. (R. Guina)
