Nagoya Hosts 2nd Japan Youth Conference

“There is a battle that we need to conquer”

Thus said Pastor Kate Saulog as she challenge the youth in Japan District of Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) in the recently concluded 2nd Japan Youth Conference, that gathered dozens of youths from different local churches held in Nagoya Locale Service Hall, August 19-21, 2014.

In this three-day conference, with the theme, “Conquering the End-Time Battle Through Apostolic Doctrine” taken from Romans 6:17-18, the delegates were equipped with inspiration, motivation and enthusiasm in order to be victorious and triumphant in the End-Time struggle of faith. Seminars from Pastor Filart Barrera, Pastor Daniel and Pastor Celia Ferriol, Pastor Celso Rosas, and Pastor Victor Fuerte enlarged the spiritual awareness and empowered the commitment of the youth in partnering with the Apostolic Doctrine.

Different activities, team buildings and workshops were organized. The workshops include worship leading, song leading, singing, and lessons in playing instruments like guitar and drums. Team buildings were games that involve team work, trust, and unity. An hour in the afternoon was given to the attendees to conduct Personal Evangelism in various places including parks and stations.

During the dedication service, Pastor Jojo Cruz, Tokyo Locale minister, set a challenge for the youth – “Our strength must be used by God”, in his message. In response to this, many accepted the challenge and responded to dedicate their lives for the ministry.

An awarding ceremony concluded the 3-day conference with Pastor Maya Cruz, Japan District Coordinator, as the keynote speaker wherein another invitation for dedication in the ministry was called and the response of the youths were witnessed as the success of the event.

The said gathering was composed of youth delegates from the following local churches: Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Shizuoka, Gunma, Gifu, Kawasaki, and Saitama. (P. Manlapig)
