Youth from different places around Luzon came to PMCC (4th Watch) Marikina Locale to attend the National Youth Summit on July 26, 2014 as part of the National Youth Month.

The summit started as Pastor Jun Alano, the National Youth Adviser, discussed the “Determining the Battlefield”, which was related to the National Youth Month theme “Conquering the End-Time Battle through Apostolic Doctrine” (Romans 6:17-18). It was then followed by seminars to enrich the talents and ministries of the youth as they partake to their respective local churches. Selected speakers were: Pastor Anna dela Torre on Praise & Worship leading; Tchr. Jen Umadhay on theatrical arts; Bro. Melbourne Corneja on scriptwriting; Pastor Askel dela Cruz on feature writing; Pastor Ernesto Purisima on audio solutions; Sis. Hosanna Enriquez and Bro. Ian Rubonal on photography; and Pastor Jim Colico on graphic designing.

After the workshops, the attendees proceeded once again to the service hall to be present for worship. Baguio Locale Youth signaled the start of the worship as they led the congregational singing. Offertory message was delivered by Pastor Rene Fremista, the Officer-In-Charge of the Maranatha Bible School. Choirs from Northern Manila District and Laguna District were also presented songs of praise. And for the keynote message, Bishop Art Ferriol further explained the theme of the National Youth Month.

The last event of that day was the most awaited Praise & Worship Songwriting Competition entitled “Shout for Joy”. Judged by Sis. Joy Guerrero, Chairperson of the Final Hour Music Ministry, Pastor Sammy Bagcat, and Bro. Paulo Joseph Sico, different bands representing their areas unleashed their God given talents and their original compositions as their contribution to the music ministry of the Church. Live performances were also presented by Eleventh Hour and Pastor Sammy before the result of the contest was announced. Southern Metro Manila District garnered 3rd place, Batangas District placed 2nd, and Marikina District got the 1st place.
