A disciple must remain steadfast in God’s teachings and fellowship under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) has activities which help foster discipleship. One such activity is the recently concluded Nueva Ecija District Fellowship. Focused on the theme, ’’Freedom in Christ That Leads to Holiness,” (Romans 6:22), the event was held at the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) last July 6.
Pastor Estella Franada, Area Coordinator of Bethany Area, was in charge of Sunday School. In her message, she stressed the essence of being freed by Christ. The worship service followed the Sunday School. Pastor Tess Abelgas, backed up by select brethren of Cabanatuan locale, kept the congregation on its feet during the praise and worship. Afterwards, Ptr. Rowena de Guzman, San Jose locale head, led them during the opening prayer. The Lupao choir then rendered a song of praise before Ptr. Estella Franada gave a warm welcome to all visitors and brethren.
Ptr. Hermie Abelgas ministered the message of blessing before songs of faith created an apt setting for the mediation of the Word of God. Pampanga District Coordinator Ptr. Joel Catamora was the event’s keynote speaker.
The brethren’s heart were filled with spiritual blessings after attending the momentous gathering. When the service ended, they left with the understanding that true freedom can only given by Christ. (J. Mirano)
