Marikina Locale’s Shower of Blessings on Its 41st Anniversary

The rainy season fails to halt the spirit of the people of God in the City of Marikina to give honor to Him in giving blessings to the church for four decades and a year. The west grandstand of the Marikina Sports Park last September 22 was crowded like as if there’s no Typhoon ‘Odette’ came to intimidate one’s desire to worship. Even the prominent people of the government of Marikina attended and showed their support for the occasion.

The gloomy atmosphere was battled by the intense praise & worship songs and dances as Sis. Joy Guerrero rallied the people in preparation for heeding the Word of God through the Head Pastor of Marikina Locale, Pastor Rey Yton. Pastor Yton took the opportunity to discuss the theme of the anniversary taken from the Book of Proverbs 4:28 entitled “The Growing Radiance of the Church in the End-Time.”

After the seminar, Pastor Kate Saulog commenced the start of the worship. Again, Sis. Joy Ferriol and the praise & worship team led the congregation in joyful singing. Then, a prayer was offered by Pastor Nita Gaan, the Peach Area Adviser.

The program continues as the brethren cheered for their respective areas as Pastor Yton called the areas one after another. It was then followed by the reading of the Holy Scriptures by Pastor Dante Abainza of Blue Area. And on the offertory message, Pastor Charlie Magbata of Red Area preached about the obedience in giving thanks to the Lord.

Songs and praises for the Lord by Marikina Ministers, NCLC high school students, Pastor Sammy Bagcat & PMCC String Ensemble, and Marikina Grand Chorale conquered the noise of raindrops in every interlude.

And finally, the Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, gave the sermon to the thousands of expectants of unsullied Word of God. The beloved Apostle first updated the brethren of the growing ministry of the church in different places of the world. And on his message, he stressed that every member of the church is a missionary, and every one of them must take the mission order given by God under the delegation of the His sent one.

After the uplifting sermon, visitors were called in front of the stage to be prayed by the Apostle. With their umbrellas, many were submitted themselves to the invitation of the Lord.

The concluding ceremonies of the worship ended well and the brethren received spiritual blessings that night. The PMCC (4th Watch) Locale Church of Marikina is indeed victorious in pursuit of glorifying the Lord amidst all odds.
