The Bible inspiringly tells us in Eph. 4:2-3, that we should endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of love and peace. Thus, the church which is being prepared by the Goodman of the House must be comprised with people who are perfectly unified with one common denominator – genuine love.
This was the chosen theme of the recently-held District Convention of Antioch Area last Sept. 26-30, 2012 at the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch) worship hall in Bacolod City. Brethren and ministers from the neighboring local churches were gladly assembled in the sanctuary to fortify and renew their faith to God.
During the opening ceremony, banners from the participating local churches, along with the Philippine and PMCC 4thWatch flags were marched thru the hallway. It was followed by a lively praise and worship, wherein brethren raised their hands and voices in exalting the name of the Lord. The light of God’s words being delivered by Bishop Rustico Zonio, made everyone realize the importance of obedience and compliance to the last program being launched by the Apostle – the personal evangelism.
As the dawn welcomes the promise of a brand new day, God’s children were on their knees communing with the Holy Spirit thru prayers and petitions. A series of seminars were conducted to further improve the standard of service and to attain a higher level of spiritual development. Gospel concerts enlivened the Bacolod public plaza as the Agape and Revelation Band unleashed their talents in rendering powerful songs. The exhortation of the words of God was ministered by the approved speakers and it encouraged the visitors to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
On the second and third day, the presence of the Sent One of God, Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, has set a joyous anticipation to the hearts of the brethren knowing that it is a great privilege to be sanctified by the words of truth. He spoke about the blessedness of God’s people being the heirs of His manifold promises. The whole congregation was also moved to tears when he elaborated the most profound manifestation of God’s love for mankind – the death of His son for the salvation of many.
The worship hall during the Sunday morn was engulfed with silence and solemnity as the partakers walked thru the concourse, signaling that the holy service was about to begin. Resounding songs of praises were, once again, offered to God as the Bacolod praise and worship team ushered the congregation to a vigorous singing. Bishop Rustico Zonio gave emphasis on the blessed hope which was foretold in the scriptures. In his message, he concluded that if we endure and keep on pressing on towards the prize which God has set before us, we will hear our Master say “My child, well done.”(R. Camposagrado)
