Local Churches Opens National Youth Month in July

Month of July is the National Young Watchers Month wherein the young generation is acknowledged its contribution in proclaiming the Gospel. The theme is “Courageously Declaring the Gospel”, from the book of II Timothy 1:8-9.

July 1 marked the Opening Service of the Youth Month. The event has taken place simultaneously in every locale churches nationwide. Here are some locales that observed the opening service program:

Gibeon Area

The Opening Service of the Youth Month was held at the PMCC 4th Watch Locale Church of Naga City, the host locale for the Gibeon Area Fellowship. The Area Coordinator of Shiloh Area and also the Adviser of the National Young Watchers, Pastor Dan Perez, preceded the program along with the National Youth Officers.

Philadelphia Area

The house of worship of Urdaneta Locale has been filled by young watchers from the different local churches of Philadelphia Area. Eight local churches have participated in the Body/Dance Worship which has been an edifying tool to the youth who have seen it and especially to those who have been part of the presentation.

Zion Area

The youths from different area and local churches gathered at Marikina Locale in the afternoon. The participants of Body/Dance Worship Contest presented their talents before the judges and the crowd. Yellow Area was declared winner on the said competition.

The youth department hosted the program on the evening service. There were testimonies, song and dance numbers, and other presentations from the youth. The top three participants of the Body/Dance Worship were given a chance to repeat their performances. The Eleventh Hour also participated in the evening event. (A. Javier)
